Born in the Canadian prairies and raised both there and in the mountains, Shannon has lived abroad in Paris France, and Irun Spain. Her current location is Montréal QC, where she is studying Anthropology and Photography at Concordia University.
Shannon's interest in music led to freelance writing for various publications, beginning with The Saskatoon Star Phoenix in 2000. Shortly after, she became a bi-monthly featured columnist for Kelowna's Event Magazine with a column named after The Who song "My Generation." While writing is still beloved, it has made way for an ever-growing interest in photography. She is currently shooting for Montreal arts blog Midnight Poutine. She was recently published in Rolling Stone, and shot the cover and feature of an upcoming issue of Future Music in the UK.
Experimenting with and developing photographic skill for over twelve years, Shannon has worked independently as a photographer since 2001. |
